Finally, the Werkstatt für historische Stickmuster, in cooperation with the Gustav Lübcke Museum Hamm, offers a very special embroidery workshop in a very special ambience.

The workshop is part of the program for the major special exhibition on the German-Dutch painter Heinrich Campendonk.

Heinrich Campendonk's exploration of a wide variety of artistic genres is surprising, including his textile designs. Some of his textile designs can be admired in the special exhibition. In this two-day workshop, after a guided tour of the exhibition—with a special focus on Campendonk's textile works—attends an introduction to embroidery threads and silk floss, linen fabrics, materials, and tools. The intensive exploration of colors and shapes allows participants to bring their own designs to life. Campendonk designed wonderful stained glas windows, which we will embroider in vibrant colors. The embroidery will be done using a simple cross-stitch technique.

The price of 45,00 € includes

• a guided tour of the exhibition,
• a material package with silk yarn (4 x Soie d´Alger and linen for beginners and advanced
• and a small snack on Saturday lunchtime included

Additional materials such as silk threads, linen, scissors and embroidery rings can be purchased on site.

The course is aimed at beginners and advanced students! Anyone with embroidery tools, such as a magnifying glass and scissors, is welcome to bring along.
