This colorful cloth is now in the Textile Museum in St. Gallen in Switzerland. 1743 is the Rococo period, baroque forms and baroque exuberance are in full bloom, of which this cloth bears wonderful witness. The beautiful parrot, which had the charm of the strange for the people of that time, and the enchanting surface pattern in the lower third of the sampler are to be emphasized.
