Be enchanted by the charm of the Biedermeier period. Samplers were stitched all over Europe. They were used for practicing, collecting and storing patterns and motifs. In the Biedermeier period, the samplers were given a different function almost imperceptibly. They were framed and hung on the wall to show the diligence of the stitcher. This sampler is a truly magnificent Biedermeier sampler, with its lush flower bouquets, the many enchanting wreaths and the realistic depictions of animals. It is a reproduction of a privately owned sampler.
