Be enchanted by the charm of the Biedermeier period. Samplers were embroidered all over Europe. They were used for practicing, collecting and storing patterns and motifs. In the Biedermeier period, the samplers were given a different function almost imperceptibly. They were framed and hung on the wall to show the diligence of the stitcher. The "Denmark 1825" sampler tells of this change. This simple sampler in typical Biedermeier style exudes a very special charm, the delicate colors of the silk on the finest linen are never intrusive, the individual shades are minimal.
