With this new addition to our popular "Nuances" series, a new, elegant and very ambitious cross-stitch pattern is now available as a template and as an embroidery kit.

Here are some comments on the pattern: From 1850, the so-called woolwork samplers are embroidered. Embroidery is no longer done in fine silk, but in much coarser wool, which is no longer vegetable-dyed but chemically dyed. The almost garish colors of the samplers of that time no longer suit our taste today, but were spectacular for the time, since such strong colors of this quality were something completely new and, thanks to industrial dyeing technology, were now affordable for everyone. The Woolwork samplers contain typical Berlin patterns that are characterized by their graphic depth and were intended to be used for cushions, chair upholstery and the like on the samplers.

We have adapted these actually timeless patterns in our new sampler to today's zeitgeist. Due to the subtle choice of colors in beige, gray and blue tones, this sampler looks classy and fits perfectly with today's modern living environment. The fine silk yarns once again underline the value and timelessness of this pattern. A nice job for snowy days on the warm sofa!
