Back from Saturday's shopping, I found a package from the Iserlohn City Museum on my doorstep, containing the flyers for this year's Nadelmarkt, which will take place on April 6th and 7th, 2019 from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. in the Nadelmuseum Iserlohn Barendorf. We are happy to be represented again with a nice photo in this flyer. A photo of our embroidered color chart of the Soie d'Alger silk yarn has been included in the flyer.
The venue is the historic Maste-Barendorf factory. The factory village from the early 19th century is one of the most important technical cultural monuments in South Westphalia. Ear needles were made here in the 19th century. Once a year, exhibitors who work with the eye needle and textile enthusiasts, customers who are looking for something special and fine that you won't find anywhere else, meet here. In the wonderful ambience of this half-timbered village, you can talk shop, exchange ideas and simply enjoy the textiles, yarns and fabrics on offer, a feast for the eyes. The embroiderers are also well represented again, in addition to the workshop for historical embroidery patterns , you will find fine thread, embroidery and amazement and, as every year, an ambitious show from the Ennigerloh embroidery museum. There is clothing, accessories, textile jewellery, home textiles, bags, hats and scarves and much more to discover. If you want to get involved yourself, you can take part in one of the workshops offered.
For the physical well-being is also taken care of. When the weather is good, the Iserlohn needle museum is a good starting point for a long walk.
It is worth making a note of the date.
