The silk we offer is Soie d'Alger from Au ver à soie.
It is 7-strand 5m spun silk. It is made of the best quality
spun silk which gives it an unrivalled regularity, lustrous
and softness. The thread does not snearl in the needle!

Some hints for using the silk:
Before washing test for colour fastness. Dip a small piece
of silk in cold or tepid water. Take a piece of white cotton
fabric and lay it over the silk, then press with a warm iron.
If there ia any transfer of colour to the white fabric or
than a faint mark, do not wash the item. Light colours may
be washed in tepid water. Be careful with dark colours.
